Accommodation At Sanbona
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve offers a choice of three luxurious lodges surrounded by ancient folded mountains and endless vistas. The luxury lodges operate independently, each of which being fully staffed with their own management team, chef brigade, hosts and hostesses and experienced field guides. Weather permitting, dinner arrangements alternate between the in and outdoor facilities. Each option at Sanbona offers a unique and enriching experience under the African sky. Tilney Manor offers privacy, tranquillity and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and plains. The historical Tilney Manor is a lush oasis within carefully laid out indigenous gardens. Tilney Manor consists of six large open-plan suites, each opening onto their own private verandas. Each of these suites boasts panoramic views of the reserve and can sleep a maximum of two adults.
Dwyka Tented Lodge epitomises an atmosphere of secluded luxury. Nine luxury tents, each with private decks and spa baths are set in a horseshoe bend of a dry Karoo ravine. For those who enjoy camping, but also appreciate luxury, these tents invoke the feeling of a pioneering adventure. Each luxury tent can sleep a maximum of two adults. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath and outdoor shower, a private deck with spa bath, a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. These eco-friendly lodges reflect the nomadic lifestyle of the Khoisan hunter-gatherers in this beautifully weathered landscape. Additionally, guests of Dwyka Tented Lodge have access to the relaxation retreats where you can rejuvenate your mind, body and soul in our two tranquil therapy rooms, or even dine alfresco in the boma or unwind in the communal lounge.
Gondwana Family Lodge overlooks the Bellair Dam, and resembling a typical thatched Karoo homestead. Gondwana Lodge has been designed for families. Children of all ages are entertained with the exciting Kids on Safari programme. This child-friendly lodge offers 12 generously proportioned luxury suites, each with endless views over the Karoo plains, and the Anysberg Mountains. When not engaged in thrilling safari activities, guests can relax at the pool, or indulge in a spa treatment. Children have their own outdoor play area, activity room, spacious lawn, and child-friendly pool. Each room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults sharing with 1 child, subject to availability of rooms with sleeper couches. Four pairs of rooms at Gondwana Lodge are inter-leading.
