After long renovation and decoration works as well as several 'test eatings' with the Club Mistral Team there is now a new and much needed Café & Restaurant 'Ocean Vagabond' in La Gaulette (the local town in Mauritius). Besides various soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and cocktails we also serve pizza, salads and a selection of main dishes with a mixture of creole and European cuisine.

It will be managed by Federica, an Italian with a lot of experience and gives the Ocean Vagabond the right touch. They set great store by fresh produce and high quality food. They also plan to serve breakfast starting in June 2011.

Several events and parties are on the schedule throughout the year. The Ocean Vagabond is located on the main street in La Gaulette, right across the street from the little grocery store. La Gaulette is very popular amongst wind- and kitesurfers because of the many private studios and apartments.

Club Mistral / Skriders have finally opened a small kite center at the kite lagoon back in November. This is the only fix kite base operating in the kite lagoon, providing a convenient service for all kitesurf beginners and course participants. This new center is located right at the kite lagoon next to Hotel Club Marmara.

In the coming months the weather also offers an ideal alternative to the cold European winter, with about 30 C° air and 28 C° water temperature, a brilliant tip for a relaxing time on the water and on the beach.
