Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and is a very exciting city. There are a lot of things to see and to do. Here is an overview of activities that you can do in Hanoi:
Walking along the Hoan Kiem Lake (The lake of the restored Sword), this is the lake in the historical centre of Hanoi. The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal for its public life. You can go and have a look in the old quarter; there you will find the original street layout and architecture of old Hanoi. At night, there is the Hanoi night market; here you can buy everything from clothes to food. People come here for shopping or just strolling in the crowd to feel the atmosphere of a night market and the habit of Hanoians.

Breakfast is provided early; depart your hotel for Halong City. After boarding the boat you will start a relaxing overnight cruise going through bizarre rock formations such as the Dinh Huong and islands with sandy beaches. Halong Bay makes part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its outstanding natural beauty, and in Vietnamese means "Dragon descending to the sea".

Before disembarking the boat and heading back towards Hanoi, you will enjoy having breakfast on board. Your will stop at Bat Trang pottery village en route to watch the local artisans forming, painting and glazing their products. In the evening attend a water puppetry performance at a local theatre.

Spend the morning at leisure before your flight to Danang. Upon arrival drive past the famous China Beach to the enchanting town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the historic town on foot with its friendly inhabitants, narrow streets, old houses, temples and wooden bridges. Hoi An was once a well-known trading centre from the 16th to 18th centuries and retains a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Hue, the former Imperial City of the last dynasty of Vietnam. En route visit the Marble Mountain, a scenic spot with caves, temples, shrines and a great view of the surrounding area. Upon reaching Danang, you will visit the Cham Museum which houses a fine collection of Champa sculptures, some dating back as early as the 7th century. After lunch, continue on over the spectacular Hai Van Pass before arriving at Hue, a charming town set on the banks of the Perfume River. The rest of the day is at leisure.

This morning you will embark on a scenic boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for worship in Hue. Afterwards explore the Imperial Citadel of Hue with the Purple Forbidden City, covering an area of 500 hectares on the northern bank of the Perfume River. In the afternoon you will visit Dong Ba market and Tu Duc Royal Tomb, before transferring to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, drive to Cu Chi District to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels. There are more than 200 kms of tunnels comprising of a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in time for lunch and a walking tour from the Saigon River, passing the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office, all magnificent sights from the French colonial period. Visit the Reunification Palace before finishing at Ben Thanh Market where you can purchase souvenirs. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
