Enjoy a week of SUPing, yoga and kiting in amazing Langebaan in South Africa. The location is perfect for morning paddles as the lagoon is calm then and the wind only starts blowing around lunchtime. While paddling you might even meet some seals. Afternoons are perfect for kiteboarding or other activities on offer such as a mountain bike tour and a game drive to spot some wildlife.

    Our chosen accommodation is situated in the middle of the village in Langebaan, about 150m from the main beach and lagoon. The design of the resort is trendy, with wood and natural stones. Around the swimming pool you’re invited to relax and lounge in the sun or in the shade. In addition to accommodation, there is a restaurant and bar, a watersports school, a spa, conferencing/event facilities and shop for kitesurfing and windsurfing goods and SUP. The atmosphere is very interactive and social and it breathes a healthy and natural life style. WiFi is available throughout the resort.
    The hotel has 28 double/twin hotel rooms, with top quality and modern amenities, all situated around the swimming pool. All rooms come with a bathroom and shower, air conditioning and television. All rooms have identical layouts and a 3rd bed or baby cod can be added on request
    The restaurant, called ‘Breeze’ combines healthy and natural cuisine with local delicacies. The restaurant distinguishes itself with dishes like springbok, ostrich and lobster. But you’re also very welcome for a quick bite. South Africa is well known for its high-quality wines and the ‘Breeze’ wine list offers you a special selection to accompany your meal. A nice example is the Reynecke wines, which are renowned for their special delicate flavour as well as their biological production process. For beer drinkers the restaurant offers a very special range of beers from a local micro-brewery in Darling. To make everything complete, there is a communal ‘braai’ (barbeque) once a week.

Langebaan lagoon is the ideal destination for an active holiday on the water. The flat water lagoon is surrounded by a pristine nature reserve and is the perfect place for leisurely days spent exploring the beautiful beaches on a stand-up paddleboard or learning to kitesurf. Mornings on this tour are spent enjoying yoga session or exploring the lagoon by SUP when the wind is light and the water is flat. In the afternoons you can learn to kitesurf, practice your skills in this amazing location on your own steam or enjoy one of the many other activities available in the area including safaris, golf and mountain bike riding.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival Meet and Greet. Drinks at the hotel

Day 2 - Sunday: Enjoy fresh fruit and juice before embarking on a morning paddle around the island. Come back to the hotel for breakfast and freetime before an afternoon yoga session on the rooftop and dinner at the restaurant.

Day 3 - Monday: Enjoy a morning SUPing and Yoga session and an afternoon of kiteboatding while in the evening a delicious curry dinner awaits.

Day 4 - Tuesday: After breakfast, hop in the car for a visit to the picturesque Kraalbaai and some yoga on the beach before enjoying a downwind paddle back to the hotel. Enjoy freetime in the afternoon or an option three hour kiteboarding clinic (extra €140 per person)

Day 5 - Wednesday: Sleep in late or chill at the pool before enjoying a downwind paddle to Die Strandloper where you will enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Day 6 - Thursday: Paddle to shark bay in the morning while the afternoon will be spent spotting wildlife at Thali Thali Game Reserve.

Day 7 - Friday: Embark on a mountain bike tour of West Coast National Park before enjoying an early lunch inside the reserve. Another rooftop yoga session will be held in the evening before a delicious BBQ dinner.

Day 8 - Saturday: Sleep in late, rent a paddle board or book a kiteboard class before departure.
