Service rating : Before booking I had a long chat with Matt at Planet Kitesurf explaining my ideal requirements. Options were provided and I was given a great summary of each. We actually decided on Matt's top recommendation based on our discussions. Everything was exactly as described and we could not have been more pleased. I asked for a luxury hotel where I could kite from the site and my wife would be happy on the beach sunbathing. I also asked for first class service, food and drink.. Oh and Sun and WIND !! Everything was delivered.

Visited Outrigger Resort last September! Amazing beach front hotel, the layout of the hotel is brilliant and you never get the feeling that the hotel is full! Staff are really helpful and friendly! We loved breakfast at Mercado!

Service at this Heritage Le Telfair is really top class and definitely of 5 star quality. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable. There are upstairs and downstairs rooms most of which have a great view of the sea. Some rooms have their back to the sea but they face the river. Breakfast was always in the main hotel restaurant and we had a selection of four restaurants to eat at for dinner. The hotel has two swimming pool areas, one at the hotel and the other a short walk away at the C beach club. Both are right on the beach and serve drinks and food. The hotel has many activities like kite surfing, canoeing and pedal boats all of which are free. This was a really nice relaxing time away at the sea. You want for nothing and the hotel staff treat you like royalty. My wife and I will definitely consider going back.

We have actually stayed at quite a few hotels in Mauritius and it was our first time at Heritage Le Telfair. We were pleasantly surprised by the resort. In fact, we were charmed by its set-up, it spreads over a large area but nothing seems too far to walk, and you are constantly surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. There are plenty of water activities including kite-surfing and more traditional canoes etc. The beach was very clean and without any dangers for young kids.

Planet Kitesurf is a great organisation, and they gave very good recommendations. The advice was clear and very appropriate to what we were looking for. The Outrigger offered great service, very friendly staff, good food, a nice room and a fantastic location. Bel Ombre is a great place for beginner kitesurfers, with the perfect conditions. The kite centre had super staff, friendly and good coaches, and the equipment is top notch.
