Feeling inspired and are keen to learn how to kitefoil? Here are our 5 top places to learn:

 1. Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

During the windy season from November to April, the huge shallow flat water lagoon at Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos is the best beginner/improver location in the Caribbean and is the perfect place to try kitefoiling! This stunning island has a great range of luxury hotels just a few kilometres from the huge kitesurf lagoon of Long Beach. Allow our kite centre in the area to re-energize your kiting in the safest way possible, with state of the art teaching techniques combined with modern waterproof radio communication systems.

2. Costa Calma, Fuerteventura

Matas Bay, near Costa Calma in southern Fuerteventura is the alternative to the well-known area of Sotavento. Planet are the exclusive UK booking agent for a new centre which offers amazing service and a calmer, less crowded bay with reliable, clean wind that isn’t as gusty or difficult to handle as at Sotavento and is perfect for learning to hydrofoil. We offer a range of small hotels within a 5-minute drive of this undiscovered spot, or a 4-star beach resort with stunning sea views within walking distance.

3. Dakhla, Morocco

You can kitesurf year round in Dakhla with incredible wind statistics (even in the lowest wind season it is still 60% reliable) and the water is perfectly flat with huge shallow areas, making it the best spot on earth to learn to kitesurf. The kitesurfing centre in Dakhla is open year round and offers lessons, including kitefoiling, for all skill levels.

4. Golf De Roses, Spain

The centre at Golf De Roses in Spain offers the latest North foiling equipment – the safest set up on the market right now. Several sand banks turn the spot into a semi-shallow water area with the huge, fine sandy beach sloping gently into the water. This combination of the right equipment and the perfect spot combine so that you can easily make progress as you get into this exciting side of the sport.

5. Zanzibar, Tanzania

Zanzibar’s white sand beaches and crystal clear waters have made it the perfect luxury holiday destination and in recent years the area has also become very popular with kitesurfers. Zanzibar’s super flat water provides the perfect playground to learn kitefoiling. Our centre in Zanzibar offers foiling specific courses and hydrofoil rentals.
