The ION Club centre in Essaouira is in the perfect location directly on the beach, and only a 10-minute walk from some of the best hotels or a 30-minute walk to the medina centre.

Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Wing Foiling and SUP/Surfing are all offered at this spot - although a little challenging and choppy, beginner lessons in all of the sports are provided as well as courses and rentals for those at Intermediate and Advanced levels. Essaouira is one of the best kitesurfing and windsurfing spots in Morocco, with the wind blowing frequently most of the year.

The centre and restaurant are protected from the wind, enabling easy setup, and the relaxation of non kitesurfing family members. The restaurant next to the centre has a great menu and is ready to revive hungry and thirsty kitesurfers. They also provide sun loungers outside, great for non kitesurfing family member to chill out on throughout the day, or after a long day riding the waves.

Essaouira, located on the Moroccan Atlantic coast, is a magical spot for kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoil and surfing, and is one of the best for the sports that we love so much. International surfing competitions are held in the area, and it is undoubtedly the windiest city in Morocco. Around Essaouira you can surf on wild spots, without too many people, and have a feeling of freedom on the water that is hard to find anywhere else.

Off of the city and the bay, you can see the Purpuran Islands where the waves are smaller and less dangerous than in other places.
