The Kitesurfing In Bali
There are a number of great kite surfing spots in Bali that cater for all levels and abilities. We would recommend calling one of our Planet Kitesurf travel experts to run through this destination in detail but broadly there are 2 main spots:
Sanur Beach
The village of Sanur, located on the eastern coast of Bali, is about 30 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Sanur is the main kitesurfing zone and where our kitesurf centre is based. Here you will find a large flat water zone that is shallow and directly off the beach making it the perfect place to learn. For the more confident kitesurfers there is a very safe and easy wave spot much further out. Boat cover is offered as part of your Planet Kitesurf holiday arrangement.
Canggu
This spot is amazing and for the serious and more experienced wave rider only!! Here you will find a huge beach, around 5km long, with some easy small beach breaks up to 5m and peeling reef breaks!
Seasons In Bali
The average temperature hovers around 30 degrees Celsius all year round. There are dry and wet seasons; dry from April to October and wet from October to March. In spite of this, it can rain at any time of the year and during the wet season, rain is likely to pass quickly. In general, the best months are April to September, when humidity is lower and the rain is light and infrequent.
The best period for wind sports like kitesurfing is from June through to August.
Nightlife
Nightlife in Bali has something for everyone - whether you are looking for a romantic dinner for two or you want to party all night.
Sanur
In Sanur you will be able to kick back and relax on a comfortable lounger, chat with friends and colleagues, drink some fantastic cocktails and generally soak up the lively atmosphere.
Kuta
The nightlife in Kuta commonly starts late - approximately 11pm with bars and pubs offering different atmospheres and types of amusement. A few clubs and bars showcase live bands, professional dancers, DJ's and fashion shows.
Legian
Legian possesses some of Bali’s favourite bars and clubs and is famous for its beautiful sunsets. Whether you're looking for beach parties or a more chiled out vibe, live blues or scratching turntable beats, Legian has it all!
