Dakhla's lagoon: The spot is the lagoon, around 40 kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide, formed by the Dakhla peninsula, which extends into the Atlantic and offers a huge protected water sports area.
Close to the shore directly in front of the centre, the water is shallow and has standing area, which is always deep enough for wingfoiling (also with foil). The bottom is fine sand. Further out, the water becomes a little choppier.
All in all, this is the perfect all-round spot for beginners, advanced riders and pros looking for plenty of space on the water.
Wave spot: For wave-loving kitesurfers, we offer trips to the wave spot on the Atlantic side of the peninsula on selected days: The wind here blows constantly side- to side-onshore, usually a few knots weaker than inside the lagoon. The break is over 2 metres high even in summer and can get much higher in winter. Ask at the centre about the trip and we will organise a supervised one - for your safety in the waves.
