Provodenciales General Overview

The island of Providenciales in Turks Caicos, or more commonly known as "Provo", covers an area of 38 miles in the Caribbean. This stunning island, ranked 'Best Beach by Conde Nast,  has a great range of luxury hotels along the North Coast of Grace Bay, just a few km from the huge kitesurf lagoon of Long Beach. Planet offer direct 9 hour flights from the UK making this one of the most accessible luxury kitesurf destinations in our programme. Provodenciales offers a unique huge shallow flat water kitesurfing area which is perfect for beginners and improvers, very hard to find in the Caribbean.

For the non kiting partner or family Provo has numerous restaurants, spas and shopping facilities, as well as a championship caliber Golf course. Provo also offer exceptional diving and snorkeling for underwater lovers; for more on this see our Planet Dive Holidays website

The two main and oldest settlements on the island are the Bight and Blue Hills, and are built around fresh water supplies. Both locations give a real feeling of Caribbean villages. If you wish to do some shopping, Provo can offer a good range of boutiques at Turtle Cove and along the quickly developing Grace Bay Road. Down Town you will find the retail shops, business offices and banks.
