General Impression

This hotel is located in one of the most beautiful destinations on the island, set in front of the Archipelago of La Maddalena and Costa Smeralda, 4km from Palau and 40km from Olbia. The Hotel Capo d’Orso, romantic and exclusive, is hidden among wild olive trees and juniper trees and surrounded by enchanting beaches. The structure has its own peculiar charm and offers many different services like breakfast accompanied by harp melodies, the Thalasso & SPA Centre just a few steps from the sea and the golf Pitch & Putt.

Five wooden jetties are set just on the seashore and the hotel features two beaches, one provided with sun beds. Nature lovers can take romantic strolls discovering the exclusive little coves, hidden like pearls amidst junipers and rocks and set between the hotel and the lighthouse of Capo d’Orso.

Accommodation

The Hotel Capo d’Orso consists of 86 rooms including 20 Junior Suites, one wonderful President sea view and 20 prestigious Junior Suites Executive and Cardinal, few metres from the Thalasso & SPA Centre. All rooms, decorated by skilled Sardinian artisans, are equipped with a veranda or terrace with small table and chairs, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, air conditioning, telephone, Sky TV, safe, mini bar, bathrobes for adults and beach towels. Tea courtesy set available on request.

• Single: bedroom with french bed;

• Classic: double bedroom;

• Deluxe: double bedroom + lounge area (open plan) with sofa bed;

• Junior Suite: double bedroom (twin beds on request only) + lounge area (open plan) with sofa bed + possibility of cot, separate bathroom (shower and washbasin) and toilet (washbasin and bidet);

• Suite Family: double bedroom + lounge area (open plan) with sofa bed or single sofa bed + second small twin bedroom, 1 bathroom, two TVs;

• Junior Suite Executive: double bedroom (twin beds on request only) + lounge area (open plan) with two single sofa beds, wide and refined bathroom with separate bathtub and shower;

• Junior Suite Cardinal: similar to the Junior Suite Executive but bigger, with walk in wardrobe and direct access to the park of the Thalasso & SPA Centre, 30 metres from the sea and the wooden jetties;

• President Sea View: prestigious and unique ambience rich in decorations and details. Double bedroom, walk in wardrobe, a luxurious bathroom with hydromassage tub and a spacious chromo therapy shower, separate lounge with table and two single sofa beds + possibility of cot, additional toilet (without shower or bathtub), marvellous veranda with 180° sea view.

SWIMMING POOL

Seawater swimming pool, surrounded by a wooden pavement close to the reefs, only a few steps from the sea.

THALASSO & SPA CENTRE “L’INCANTU”

The Wellness Centre is equipped with a reception, 2 multi-function seawater Thalasso pools heated at different temperatures with hydro massage jets, a jacuzzi, 10 modern booths for Thalasso treatments, massages and beauty treatments, a Turkish bath, relaxation area, gazebo for open air massage and sun deck with sun beds.

The Wellness Centre is open 6 days out of 7.

A health self-certification is required to have treatments and to use the spa facilities. Specific programmes are available for pregnant ladies (some treatments might be excluded). Access is not allowed for minors; 14-year-olds and older are allowed if accompanied by parents or with a written parental authorization.

GOLF

With fantastic views over the islands, the golf Pitch & Putt 9 hole course, with practice court, is ideal for beginners who wish to discover this sport and skilled players who can improve their short game on the Par 3. Golf classes are available (free of charge for children up to 13 years old from 04/06) and golf iron (pitch) rental.

FITNESS AREA

At guests’ disposal, a fitness area on the sea cliff with cardio fitness equipment.

EXCURSIONS

Sea and land excursions organized by the Delphina excursions department:

- sea excursions half day and full day to the national park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena and Corsica (for safety reasons boat excursions are not allowed for children under 3 years old);

- land excursions to discover the Gallura inland among historical centres, naturalistic landscapes, museums and archaeological sites.

On payment: Thalasso & SPA Centre, medical visits (on reservation), golf, full day mini cruises with the period sailing ship “Pulcinella” to the French islands around Corsica and to the Archipelago of La Maddalena, excursions by motorboat “Delphina Express” (half day), drinks and all extras. Furthermore, the following external services: rubber dinghy and boat mooring rental at the hotel private marina (trailer parking free of charge), prestigious boat charter or sports fishing (including deep water fishing), excursions, car rental, tennis court, horse riding 1.5 km away with a stop for swimming, sailing school with special rates for Delphina’s guests and diving centre nearby, transfers.

• “Il Paguro”, refined sea facing restaurant on a terrace with a great selection of fresh shellfish (from a fish tank);

• “Gli Olivastri”, set among centuries-old trees in an elegant and romantic atmosphere;

• “Île Flottante”, exciting location to enjoy the exclusive proposals of the chef on the water;

• pizzeria “L’Approdo” with wood-fired oven for a different evening. Room service with supplement.

Lunch

Restaurant “Il Paguro” with many specialities of fresh fish, “Île Flottante” to enjoy the exclusive proposals of the chef on the water or “L’Approdo”, cool and natural ambience just few metres from the sea with Mediterranean dishes, salads and sandwiches.
