Located just two hours south of Fortaleza International Airport, Fortim combines exceptional wind reliability, vast flat water riding areas, luxury accommodation and one of the most relaxed atmospheres you'll find anywhere along Brazil's famous northeast coastline.

Unlike destinations such as Jericoacoara or Cumbuco, Fortim remains surprisingly undiscovered outside Brazil and South America. Easy Access Makes a Huge Difference - One of Fortim's biggest advantages is simply how easy it is to reach. Fortaleza is one of Brazil's best-served international airports, with excellent domestic connections and increasing international access from Europe and North America. Once you land, you're looking at a comfortable transfer of around two hours to reach your hotel. For Brazil, where transfers of four to six hours are common for many of the country's famous kite destinations, Fortim is very accessible. You can often be checking into your hotel and rigging your kite on the very same afternoon.

Consistent Wind Without the Extreme Conditions - Brazil has earned its reputation as one of the world's greatest kitesurfing destinations thanks to its incredibly reliable trade winds. However, some of the more northerly spots regularly experience winds exceeding 35 knots during the peak months of September, October and November. While advanced riders may enjoy these stronger conditions, many intermediate riders—and even experienced kiters—find them tiring over a week's holiday.

Fortim offers a superb balance - Throughout the main season, riders can typically expect beautifully consistent winds in the region of 20–30 knots. This creates ideal conditions for freeriding, progressing your skills, learning new tricks, foiling and simply enjoying long sessions without feeling overpowered.
