Hotel Odjo dAqua is located directly on the southernmost part of the beach Santa Maria, in the centre of Santa Maria. The luxury of being right on the beach offers guests the very essence of life in Santa Maria. It is very well integrated in the village of Santa Maria and this gives you a chance to have a good relationship with the people of Sal and the calm of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Odjo dAgua is personally managed by a Cape Verdean family and it is the perfect place to enjoy a nice vacation in a relaxing and welcoming family atmosphere. The hotel itself is simply decorated but still stylish.
Outside, its all white arches and bougainvillea, with a Roman-style pool taking centre-stage on the terrace. The rooms and the main buildings interior is beautifully finished giving it a warm and cozy atmosphere. The garden and pool area has a romantic touch. One is really submerged in another world. A delightful hotel particularly suited to couples looking for a beachfront property in a central location.
Accommodation At Odjo Del Aqua Hotel
Odjo dAgua hotel has 46 rooms:
34 Double Rooms: They have two large beds which can be turned into one king-sized bed if desired.
12 Suites: They have double beds and lounge and the majority with a sea view. The suites have an additional living room, whose functional seating can be used as beds for children and/or adolescents.
All rooms are furnished to a high standard, they have a bathroom with hot and cold water, shower over bath, air conditioning, hairdryer, ceiling fan, a big wardrobe, TV with nine channels, telephone, mini-bar, a safe, and a private balcony or terrace. Most of the rooms have a view overlooking the bay of Santa Maria.
Drink & Dine
The Farolim Restaurant offers some of the best food on the island and is situated overlooking the sea. The soft Atlantic Ocean breeze creates a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere while you savor delicious Cape Verdean, African or European food. The varied menu specializes in fresh seafood and fish but Creole, pasta and meat dishes are also available on the extensive menu, and you can dine whilst listening to the live Cape Verdian music. Buffet breakfast and waiter service for lunch and dinner.
The hotel also has a restaurant in the center of Santa Maria town, Piscador Restaurant.
After enjoying an excellent dinner you can go downstairs in the Q Bar for a night of live entertainment and dancing. A true way of experiencing the legendary nightlife of Cape Verde.
While in the Moreia Bar on the beach you can find tropical juices and ice cream, cold drinks or aperitifs.
