General Overview Segara Village

This well established, beachfront resort recently re-opened as one of Sanur’s premier, four star properties. Keeping true to its unique Balinese village concept, each of the five distinct village areas retain their original charm, the check-in is still welcoming and the five acres of tropical gardens continue to exude a feeling of spaciousness seldom found on other Sanur beach resorts. Yet enter any of the 120 newly-renovated guest rooms and you are met with bright patches of colour set against neutral tones, clean lines and a feeling a luxurious simplicity. All the modern conveniences you would expect are on-hand, plus deluxe rooms feature a state-of-the-art entertainment centre.
With three swimming pools and a pristine beach safe for swimming and water sports, ‘fun in the sun’ is a cornerstone of the resort’s philosophy. The new beachfront swimming pool allows you to combine refreshing poolside relaxation with easy access to the resort’s private beach. While the central pool offers plentiful activities for the entire family, the Deluxe Village’s courtyard pool is ideal for those simply concentrating on quite relaxation.

The Accommodation Segara Village

Segara Village, as the name suggests, is built and designed around the concept of a Balinese Village and comprises five distinct villages within the six hectare resort complex. Each village has its own unique layout and style.
All rooms feature individually controlled air – conditioning, satellite TV, IDD telephone, mini-bar, coffee / tea making facilities, extensive range of toiletries, hairdryer and ample storage space.
Superior Room: The 15 rooms located in Village 1 are located near the reception area. Spacious balconies / terraces overlook lush tropical gardens and the resort’s own Balinese temple. These tastefully decorated ground and first floor rooms are available with a choice of double or twin beds and feature a large shower. Maximum 1 extra bed allowed.
Cottages: 28 rooms located in Village 5 are beside the tennis court and near the Jacuzzi Bar. They are conveniently located close to the beach and restaurant. Arranged in Balinese Hotel style, these well equipped rooms have their own balcony and combined shower / bathtub. Maximum one extra bed allowed.
Bungalows: The 55 bungalows scattered in Village 3 and 4, are either free standing or in adjoining buildings overlooking lush tropical, frangipani-scented gardens with their own balcony / terrace and combined bathtub / shower. Built in a very unique, traditional bungalow style with freshly modern interiors, bungalows are a very suitable choice for families. Maximum one extra bed.
The Segara @ Village 2: The 22 deluxe bungalows, all surrounding a courtyard swimming pool are exclusively located in Village 2 for a heightened sense of privacy. Inspired by Bali’s rich artistic heritage, the new 45 qm The Segara @ Village 2 Room has been designed to pay respect to past traditions and embrace the future. The use of luxurious marble, indigenous timber, rich fabrics and subtle lighting combines with a full compliment of modern amenities creates an ambiance that truly nurtures the senses. A spacious bathroom with separate bath tub and shower with luxurious bathroom amenities and a state of the art entertainment centre (A 32’’ plasma television comes with a full selection of satellite channels, DVD player and surround home theatre system) creating immensely satisfying and luxurious holiday experiences.

Water Sports: Other water sports available on the island are white-water rafting, sailing, cruising, surfing, jet skiing, scuba diving, seawalker, windsurfing, canoes/surf-skies, sailing/fishing and parasailing. The Hotel's water-sports equipment available through outside operators includes hobie cats, windsurfers, ocean kayaks and snorkelling equipment, as well as aqua shoes for guests' convenience.

Restaurants & Bars Segara Village

The Beach: This stylish, new oceanfront restaurant sits directly beside the beachside swimming pool. It offers an excellent breakfast buffet, the perfect place to watch Sanur’s famous sunrises. Signature international and Asian cuisine is served for lunch and dinner until 23:00 with a choice of indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Entertainment and cultural events on selected evenings.
Jacuzzi Bar: Whilst sipping on outrageous cocktails or a chillingly cold beer, soothing jets of refreshingly cool water relax one’s body and mind. The bar overlooks the two main swimming pools and the ocean. Open from 11:00 until 12:00 midnight
Beach Lounge & Bar: Guests can choose to keep cool and comfortable in cosy, air-conditioned lounge area, or watch the world go by at the oceanside bar. Seasonal tropical fruit drinks and exotic cocktails are the specialty of these drinking and entertainment venues.
