Filho Do Vento, Barra Do Cunhau (pipa)

Filho do Vento is a relaxed, stylish coastal retreat designed specifically for kitesurfing, kite foiling and Wingfoiling. The place has a modern, chic yet natural and restful atmosphere, blending wood and open lines, and it is aimed at, ocean loving couples, small groups or solo travellers who value comfort, good service, aesthetic design and a sea front location. It offers clean, well appointed rooms, quiet surroundings, and highlights include an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the beach, excellent on site restaurants, a spa offering massages, a roof top gym with stunning views, and direct access to Barra de Cunhaú Beach Kite / Wingfoil spot. The lodge has a contemporary feel but is embedded in its natural coastal environment, ideal for those who wish to combine water sports with comfort and thoughtful design.

There are just fourteen beautiful rooms, divided mainly into Standard ground floor King Rooms and Superior first floor King Rooms. The rooms have one king size bed and includes air conditioning, free Wi Fi, a private bathroom, bathrobes, and other amenities such as a work desk, minibar, free toiletries, and a balcony. It is non smoking and designed for two guests, although no exact area in square metres or feet is specified. The Superior room are the same but with an elevated view.

The outdoor swimming pool is integrated into the garden and patio area, with loungers placed around it and views stretching towards the beach and sea. Dining is available in two on site restaurants. One is called Cicchetti, serving Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with gluten free and dairy free options as well as family friendly dishes. Another is simply referred to as Restaurante, complemented by a coffee shop and a lounge bar. A daily continental breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses and juices is included.

A rooftop fitness centre has a stunning view of the river mouth, while spa services focus on relaxation. 

The Watersport centre not only offers a full range of Kitesurfing and Wingfoiling lessons and rental, but a raft of other activities to include kayaking, Hawaii canoeing, up river SUPing tours, electric beach bike tours, and much more. Although this is a quiet and remote locations, there are lots of activities to keep you busy.
