Overview Of The Breakers

The Breakers Diving & Surfing Lodge  first introduced in Egypt the concept of  "Watersports lifestyle" hotel. Is  situated directly on the waterfront, overlooking the Red Sea and the Soma Bay house reef, and just a short walk from Orca Dive Centre.

The very impressive new Kitesurfing School is around a 20 / 30 minute walk along the beach; this is a perfect location for beginners and improvers! There is a shuttle bus from The Breakers to the Kitesurfing centre that operates twice an hour.

Accommodation At The Breakers

The Hotel, newly built, has 173 air-conditioned comfortable  guest rooms.  Each room is spacious, with family and special disabled access rooms also available. Taking advantage of a magnificent waterfront location, the large majority of  the rooms offer beautiful views of the house reef & open sea.

All rooms are fully air-conditioned for your comfort and include a private balcony, satellite TV, safe box, mini-bar & internet access. Each room has its own well-appointed bathroom with shower and hairdryer.

The Breakers with his various options of dining and drinking offers the best in fresh and lovely international cuisine. Barbecues with beach view and occasional evening parties mean you can enjoy the relaxed Breakers lifestyle.

Dolphin restaurant:  offering a selection of delicious buffet-style meals for breakfast and dinner. A relaxed outdoor terrace area is perfectly situated for soaking up the sun and sea views. The restaurant also serves specialty snacks, wood-fired pizzas and a selection of a la carte meals throughout the daytime.

The Breakers Roof Garden Bar: A chilled out roof garden with amazing panoramic views for lounging under the sun during the day, and relaxing under the stars in the evening.

The Breakers Beach Bar at the Dive Centre: Perfect for a chill out drink topside after a day spent under the water. The Beach Bar serves snacks and sandwiches for hungry divers and snorkelers throughout the day.

The Breakers Reef Bar: Lounge bar with dance floor and terrace to celebrate the night directly situated on the sea.

Facilities And Services

The Breakers accommodation surrounds a scenic swimming pool and relaxation area for lounging in the sunshine. Sun beds with comfortable mattresses, sun shades and sun towels are all included. A fully equipped and air-conditioned Techno GYM allows you to work out whilst enjoying the sea view. A Finnish Sauna, also with panoramic sea views, is the highlight of the rooftop area.

Snorkeling: Guest staying at the Breakers Diving & Surfing Lodge have access to a section of the beach at the nearby Sheraton Soma Bay Hotel from which there is a jetty leading out to the house reef. The reef offers good snorkeling opportunities with a variety of fish. Alternatively, guests may wish to visit nearby sites such as Sharm el Naga.

Kitesurfing: The Breakers Diving and Surfing Lodge is the perfect base for kite surfers. The hotel is situated 20 30 minutes walk from one of the best spots in the world for kite surfing. Soma Bays spectacular bay offers fantastic flat water conditions and pristine sandy beaches, coupled with perfect side shore winds. The wind is accelerated by the close proximity of the mountains to the sea. This also makes for one of the most beautiful spots for kite surfing in the whole of Egypt.
