The hotel stands on a peaceful side street in the historic centre of Marsala, framed by ancient and magnificent aristocratic buildings. A historic building itself, which was purpose-built around 1873, the 4-storey hotel faces Marsala's magnificent cathedral and the Palazzo VII Aprile, which frame the city's main square, known as the "Loggia".

The Hotel Stella D'Italia was completely refurbished in 2006 but retains its characteristic charm. The Hotel Stella D'Italia is adjacent to an ancient covered passageway, connected to one of the hotel's 35 rooms, which provides a bird's eye view of Via Mario Rapisardi. In the mid-1900s, a radical refurbishment took place, involving many different skilled workers, which turned the Hotel Stella d'Italia into Marsala's leading hotel. The hotel also includes a valuable collection of contemporary paintings and sculptures created by prestigious artists, including members of the "Scicli Group".

The Stella D'Italia has 35 rooms including standard, superior and family rooms, all tastefully decorated in neoclassical style, totally soundproofed and with showers. They are equipped with heating and air conditioning that can be managed independently, a flat screen TV, free WiFi, a media set with premium channels, safeand minibar.

The family rooms have two separate rooms: the main room with king size bed and another one with a raised bed. They can accommodate up to 4 people and are the ideal solution for families with children. The superior rooms are further equipped with a seating area or balcony or terrace with view while a parking place is included in the superior room rate.
