Overview
Baglio Donna Franca, is a perfectly restored nineteenth-century baglio, which rises in the heart of the Marsala countryside, on the hills in front of the Stagnone Reserve and the Egadi Islands. It was here, three centuries ago, that a legendary wine was born, Marsala. Today, the Baglio Donna Franca, already in the name, wants to pay homage to a family that made it famous all over the world, the Florio family – to whom this property belonged – and to the modern spirit of Donna Franca Florio, one of the most relief of the famous house.
Just as the Florio family inspired the Sicilian Belle Epoque, even today the Baglio Donna Franca brings visitors and customers back to that era, in a full immersion in the history and culture of wine.
