The Kitesurfing In Gostoso
The very best wind season for Gostoso is between September and March with 90% super reliable wind ranging from 17 to 30 knots, so very reliable without being over powerful like in some strong wind destinations. This really is one of the most wind reliable locations on the planet during this period. It is also quite good to travel in mid-July and August although the wind direction can switch quite a lot during this time. For waves, the best season is November through to January with super clean 1-2 metre waves on the outer reef.
Generally, the wind direction is side on through to side offshore; mostly side-shore during the main wind period but it depends on a bit from where you are kiting. Mornings and late afternoon can switch a bit more side off. Of course, as with all of our partner centres, we ensure good safety cover for all of our clients.
There is a variety of conditions from shallow, flat water through to small clean waves. For lessons there is a dedicated kite training zone with a large area of shallow water and more onshore conditions, so very safe and easy. For bigger waves (up to 2m) there is a great spot around 20 minutes drive away. Gostoso Nightlife
Gostoso is a great place to be in the evenings for a relaxing few beers, maybe a BBQ, and then a restful night to set yourself up for another hard day on the water. There are a few lively bars on the weekends with live music. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, with everything from pizzerias to traditional local restaurants serving mouth-watering Brazilian specialities and plenty of fresh seafood.

Wild North Kite Adventure
This unusual and unique tour takes you to Brazil's wild and beautiful North. As you move North along the coast of Ceara state, where the better-known kitesurf resorts are (such as Prea and Jericoacoara), and into Piaui and Maranhao States, the infrastructure becomes more scarce, and the coastline becomes wild. Travelling in this area typically involved 4x4 driving along wild deserted beaches, traversing estuaries and taking small, locally run make-shift ferry crossings. Travelling becomes more of an experience and less of something to endure.
