Tour description
This unusual and unique tour takes you to Brazil's wild and beautiful North. As you move North along the coast of Ceara state, where the better-known kitesurf resorts are (such as Prea and Jericoacoara), and into Piaui and Maranhao States, the infrastructure becomes more scarce, and the coastline becomes wild. Travelling in this area typically involved 4x4 driving along wild deserted beaches, traversing estuaries and taking small, locally run make-shift ferry crossings. Travelling becomes more of an experience and less of something to endure.
The kitesurfing in this area is uncrowded and breathtaking! It is some of the most dramatic and extraordinary kiting on the Planet.
Days 1 - 5
Tatajuba5* La Ventana Tatajuba, Tatajuba

We will start your itinerary in the wild and massive lagoon of Tatajuba, around 1 hours transfer from Jericoacoara airport. This is one of the largest and most beautiful kite lagoons in Brazil. The spot is still quite unknown, although there are new small properties and kite schools now opening.

Camocim5* Camocim Luxury Beach Escape (Baia das Caraubas), Camocim

The next stop is Camocim, only around 14 km further North. The best way to get here from Tatajuba is to kite! We will provide a private kite guide and have your luggage ready at your Camacim hotel. Any non-kiters can travel with the luggage transfer.
Camocin is a small local town, with a stunning stretch of beach reach out North. Your lovely hotel here is set on a wild, open beach in a beautiful setting. This hotel is very special indeed. The kiting here is a flat water lagoon with nice small waves at higher tide.
Days 7 - 9
Parnaiba4* Casa de Santo Antonio, Jericoacoara

This part of the trip is all about exploring the Parnaiba River Delta, so for a rare couple of days, there will be no kiting. Your beautiful accommodation is located in the historic centre of Parnaiba town, just a few minutes walk from Porto das Barcas, one of the starting points for boats travelling along the Parnaiba River Delta.
In the heart of the "Rota das Emoções" the ParnaĂba River Delta is an ecological sanctuary of enormous natural beauty. It is the only delta in the Americas that flows into the open sea and is the third largest in the world. Its branches form an archipelago with over 75 islands, dunes, freshwater lagoons and a lush tropical forest where crocodiles, gibbons, capybaras, monkeys and birds of rare natural beauty can still be found. It is here that at sunset, we watch the unforgettable Flight of the Guarás every day.
Days 9 - 14
Atins5* Luxury Hotel Atins, Atins

Your final stop on this tour is the Atins, most famous for kitesurfing in the wild sand dunes in the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Yes, you can actually kitesurf IN the sand dunes! This is an amazing experience (best done from June to October). The main river mouth of Atins is also extraordinary, filled with sand bars and inlets - it is a massive kiters playground. For wave lovers, there are some epic downwinders.
From here, we can also tag on the last night in Sao Luis City, prior to taking your flight home from Sao Luis airport (around 3 hours from Atins).
