Due to its exclusiveness right next to the 5* boutique hotel Casa Cook El Gouna, the Duotone Pro Center El Gouna is truly a one of a kind kiteboarding experience that allows you to spend your vacation and kite at the same spot. Besides the clear focus on creating a world-class kiteboarding centre, they are happy to offer other watersport activities such as SUP (Stand Up Paddling), Foil Wing and iRig.

The Duotone Pro Center El Gouna has been handcrafted to echo Casa Cook’s signature design ethos – contemporary and simplistic, punctuated by clean lines and bursts of a tropical jungle. The centre opens up directly onto the beach, with sweeping views over the lagoon and is located right next door to the Casa Cook El Gouna.

If you want to relax between sessions, enjoy a coffee or snack at the beach bar next to the pool, hang out at the centre or have a look at our shop with exclusive items from Duotone and ION.

Storage lockers, free Wifi, hot outdoor showers, changing rooms, chill out areas and the boutique hotel Casa Cook plus Spa next door. The storage room and centre are furthermore supervised 24/7.

Kindly note the below regarding the Egypt amusement tax to be paid on site: 

The Egyptian parliament has passed a so-called amusement tax. From 16 July 2023, this tax must be paid to the Egyptian tax office. Unfortunately, this amusement tax also applies to all Sport/Dive centres on the Red Sea. Centres are now obliged to report the income daily to the tax office and to pay this tax to the state.

This service will allow you to store your kitesurf equipment at the centre, and often also includes free rescue service assuming you are riding upwind level or above.

Note:

Rescue service is normally limited to 1 rescue per day assuming you are an independent kiter, able to ride up wind. Local charges may apply for extra rescues.

Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 1-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly. 

You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! Here you will be taught how to properly fly an inflatable kitesurfing kite, how to control your kite and what to do if you crash it in the water. On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.

You will then move on to the board lessons. What does that mean? Well it is time to get up on the board now. You will practice using the kite to generate pull and you will learn how to get the kite to pull you without the board first. The idea is to get used to how the kite behaves when asked to pull you. Once confident doing this you will learn how to put the board on your feet and after that, how to get up on the board. Most people will manage to do a few metres on the board by the end of the course.

Note:

You don’t need to be super-fit to kitesurf and the kit is lightweight, so you don’t need lots of muscle strength either. But of course, a decent level of fitness will help you to progress faster. Your instructor will be there to support you, coach you, and more importantly, keep you safe through the learning process.

Never tried foiling before? if you are a confident regular kitesurfer and want to at least double your 'kitable' days, give foiling a go! A lot of kiters who have mastered the twin tip or surfboard and looking for a new challenge and want the ultimate feeling of floating and gliding over the water, this is it! The great thing about riding the Hydrofoil is its massive wind range, a 10m kite will get you up riding in 12knots or less, and keep riding well into 20 knots.

You must be a confident independent kitesurfer for this course.

Semi-Private lessons are a maximum of 2 students per instructor, meaning fast progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you to upwind riding.  Lessons are normally in 2 - 3-hour sessions, but dependent on local conditions.

We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.

Daily kitesurf unlimited rental, with choice of boards and kites, bar included. The range of equipment will vary from each different kitesurf school, so sometimes the exact kite size may not be available. Kitesurf rental packages are great if you want to experiment with different types of equipment before you decide to invest in your own, or if you just don't want toe hassle of taking your own equipment. 

The quality of kitesurf rental equipment will vary from each different sport centre. Take a look at the sport centre details for more information on this. if you are not sure then you can always call us. We only work with the best kitesurf centres in each resort and do our best to visit every centre we offer. 

Note:

You must be able to demonstrate safe setup and use of the equipment, and be able to ride upwind (most of the time). If the centre feels that you are not yet ready to kite independently they may swap out some of the rental value for instruction.

Damage Insurance is not included and should be paid locally

Note:
For anyone who has never tried wing foling before, during this wing foil course, you will learn the very basics of Wing foiling. This includes how to use the wing and foil - to your first rides in both directions. Private lessons are 1-1 / Semi-private lessons include only two people and ensure fast progression.
Your course includes board, wing, foil (when applicable) wetsuit, life jacket and insurance
