The spot on Kremasti beach offers empty waters and a clear shore-line - this makes learning to kite fun and easy without the hassle of swimmers. The area is free from other water-sports such as windsurfing and jet-skiing. The wide launching area, together with empty seas which you have all to yourself (thanks to the side-shore winds) makes for an easy session on the water. 

The waters are also exceptionally safe, as they are rock and reef free and there is no dangerous sea-life to worry about, although if you are lucky enough you might get to see one of the beautiful local sea turtles! (They are very shy!) 

For the safety and enjoyment of all our customers, the beginners groups have a separate spot all to themselves further upwind.

The kitesurf school stocks a good range of the newest Duotone equipment for rental; this is the best equipment in the market, and perfect for training with their unique 5th line safety systems.

This service will allow you to store your kitesurf equipment at the centre, and often also includes free rescue service assuming you are riding upwind level or above.

Note:

Rescue service is normally limited to 1 rescue per day assuming you are an independent kiter, able to ride up wind. Local charges may apply for extra rescues.

For Storage and rescue services, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)

Semi-Private lessons are a maximum of 2 students per instructor, meaning fast progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you from total beginner to up and riding. We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.

Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 1-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly. 

You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! Here you will be taught how to properly fly an inflatable kitesurfing kite, how to control your kite and what to do if you crash it in the water. On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.

You will then move on to the board lessons. What does that mean? Well it is time to get up on the board now. You will practice using the kite to generate pull and you will learn how to get the kite to pull you without the board first. The idea is to get used to how the kite behaves when asked to pull you. Once confident doing this you will learn how to put the board on your feet and after that, how to get up on the board. Most people will manage to do a few metres on the board by the end of the course.

Note:

You don’t need to be super-fit to kitesurf and the kit is lightweight, so you don’t need lots of muscle strength either. But of course, a decent level of fitness will help you to progress faster. Your instructor will be there to support you, coach you, and more importantly, keep you safe through the learning process.

The range of equipment will vary from each different kitesurf school, so sometimes the exact kite size may not be available. Kitesurf rental packages are great if you want to experiment with different types of equipment before you decide to invest in your own, or if you just don't want toe hassle of taking your own equipment. 

The quality of kitesurf rental equipment will vary from each different sport centre. Take a look at the sport centre details for more information on this. if you are not sure then you can always call us. We only work with the best kitesurf centres in each resort and do our best to visit every centre we offer. 

Note:

You must be able to demonstrate safe setup and use of the equipment, and be able to ride upwind (most of the time). If the centre feels that you are not yet ready to kite independently they may swap out some of the rental value for instruction.
