Tour Highlights

Combine the amazing cultural Istanbul, with a trip to the ultra windy and luxurious Alacati renowned for being an amazing flat water windsurfing location.

For this tour, we have opted for 5* accommodation to make the week very special. However, we can adjust every aspect of the tour specific to you, just let us know.

Days 1 - 3

5* JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus

Bed and Breakfast

Your tour will begin with a meet and assist at Istanbul airport from your international (or domestic) flight, followed by a 45-minute private VIP transfer to your chosen hotel. For this tour, we suggest the stunning luxury JW Marriott (budget permitting).

We will include a half-day city tour with a private guide on the first day (or second day, depending on your arrival time). This is a great way to discover the best of the city and decide which areas you want to explore more in the coming days.

Istanbul

Istanbul is a large and exciting city in Turkey, where Europe and Asia meet. It is full of history, culture, and beautiful views. Istanbul is a city where old and new come together. It offers a special experience for tourists who enjoy history, food, and friendly people. For tourists, it is a place with many things to see and do. One of the main sights in Istanbul is the Hagia Sophia, a great building that was once a church, then a mosque, and now a museum. Nearby, you can also visit the Blue Mosque, which is still used for prayer and is famous for its blue tiles. Another must-see is the Topkapi Palace, where the old sultans of the Ottoman Empire used to live. It has lovely gardens and treasures to explore.

You should also see the Grand Bazaar, one of the biggest and oldest markets in the world. It has thousands of shops selling everything from carpets to jewellery. A boat trip along the Bosphorus is a good way to see the city from the water and enjoy the views of palaces and bridges. Don’t miss the Basilica Cistern, an underground water palace with tall columns and a magical atmosphere.

The best time to visit Istanbul is in the spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October). The weather is warm but not too hot, and the city is less crowded than in summer. The summer months (July and August) can be very hot, busy, and sometimes uncomfortable, especially if you don’t like big crowds. Winter is not the worst time to visit, but it can be cold and rainy, and some outdoor places may not be as enjoyable.

Days 3 - 10

5* Biblos Resort

Breakfast

After 3 nights in Istanbul, take an internal flight to Izmir, followed by a 1hr 45m transfer to Alacati. You can stop off at the ancient city of Ephesus, where you will visit the Basilica of St. John and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

We recommend the luxurious Biblos Hotel in Alacati as the very best, but there are other great properties that fit different budgets. As always, speaking to an expert here who can guide you to the best property for you is best.

Alacati

Alacatı, located on Turkey's Aegean coast, is renowned as one of the country's premier kitesurfing destinations. Its consistent winds, shallow waters, and picturesque setting make it ideal for both beginners and more advanced kitesurfers. There is no where else that provides such exceptional conditions, high standard hotels, and a charming local town. Alacati is not only an amazing Kitesurf Holiday destination, it is also perfect for non-kiting partners and family.

The beautiful and historic town of Alacati (a short taxi ride from the beach resorts) has many coffee shops and open air terraces with bars and restaurants and has a lot to offer visitors. The shops and boutiques in nearby Cesme are well worth a visit with a great range of local goods and typical Turkish wares.

Due to the narrow beach near the hotels, the main kitesurfing spot is on the opposite side of the bay. This spot offers shallow water and a sandy bottom, making it perfect for learning and practising. Our partner kitesurf school will hold lessons there, or they can take you out whenever you would like to hit the water.

The best time for kitesurfing in Alacati is from May to October, aligning with the Meltemi wind patterns. During this period, wind speeds are consistent, and the weather is warm and sunny. The months of June to August are particularly good, with water temperatures ranging from 20°C to 22°C, eliminating the need for a wetsuit
