Kinondo Kwetu is like a second home for Ida and Filip Andersson, along with their three kids, a family from Sweden with a connection to the famous Baron Blixen. This place is a peaceful haven on the coast of Kenya, away from the hustle and bustle, offering a more personal experience. Situated on a serene private beach over 16 acres of land, south of Diani Beach, it's surrounded by rocky cliffs and a vast beach, giving it a secluded feel. Kinondo Kwetu is recognized as a protected 'Kaya' area due to its sacred forests and land, which the National Museum monitors.

The lodge encompasses five cottages and two villas, Mama Taa and Mama Tina. Additionally, two new suites, the Andersson Room tailored for honeymooners, and the Borelius Room, a family suite, offer diverse accommodation options.

• Cottage one, two & three / Shimba, Twiga & Songoro - 3 ensuite double cottages with king-size beds & ensuite bathrooms (no extra beds) – ceiling fans & sea view. Air condition.
• Cottage four / Mbuyu - 1 double bedroom cottage with a connecting single bedroom (shared bathroom) – ceiling fans & sea view. Air condition.
• Cottage five / Ubani Beach house - 1 double story cottage sold as a family house or couples travelling together - upstairs is 1 ensuite double bedroom with an outside private entrance & downstairs is 1 ensuite double & 1 ensuite single bedroom with connecting doors - fans & sea view. Mama Tina Villa / Main house/pool house (Perfect for older children or Single travellers)

Dining at Kinondo Kwetu is an al fresco affair, emphasising fresh local seafood, fruits, and vegetables. The lodge offers two swimming pools and a spa, while many local activities can be arranged for guests.

Committed to responsible tourism, Kinondo Kwetu actively contributed to rebuilding the school in Kinondo village and established the Kinondo Kwetu Medical Clinic for the community. The lodge supports the Whale Shark Trust and proudly aligns itself with the Colobus Trust as a member.
