Aswan, located in southern Egypt, is a charming and culturally rich city along the banks of the Nile River. It's known for its breathtaking scenery, historical sites, and relaxed atmosphere.
Philae Temple: A beautifully preserved temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on Agilkia Island. Accessible by boat, it is especially magical during the Sound and Light Show in the evening.
Unfinished Obelisk: A massive ancient obelisk carved out of bedrock, offering insights into ancient Egyptian construction techniques.
Nubian Museum: A modern museum showcasing the history, culture, and artifacts of the Nubian people and the region.
Aswan Botanical Garden: Located on Kitchener's Island, this lush garden offers a serene escape with a wide variety of exotic plants.
Aswan High Dam: An engineering marvel that tamed the Nile and created Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.
Tombs of the Nobles: Ancient rock-cut tombs located on the west bank of the Nile, with remarkable hieroglyphics and panoramic views of the river.
Temple of Kom Ombo: A short distance from Aswan, this unique double temple is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus.
Abu Simbel Temples: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, these colossal rock temples built by Ramses II are among Egypt's most iconic landmarks. It's about a 3-4 hour drive or a short flight from Aswan.

Soma Bay
After a 4-hour private transfer from Luxor to Soma Bay, the tour concluded with 5 nights at the luxury Kempinski Hotel, a perfect spot for ocean sport lovers with Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Kitesurfing, Windsurfing and Wingfoiling all close by.
About Soma Bay +
Soma Bay is one of Egypt's best kitesurfing spots, thanks to reliable wind and a huge lagoon. Which part you ride depends on where you stay, but the rest of the lagoon is a short boat ride away, and some of it you can reach on your kite.
Abu Soma, on the southern side, arguably has the best conditions. The wind there is side to side-onshore, and a good-sized waist-deep area in the bay gives beginners plenty of room. On the northern, Soma Bay side, the wind blows offshore and can be gusty close to the beach. It's still safe, because the worst that can happen is that you drift across the lagoon to the beach on the far side.
Both sides have flat water, and the upwind bay gets the cleanest wind. For beginners and intermediates building confidence, it's hard to beat.
We only use the best kite centres in Soma Bay, and we've been sending clients here for years. When you book, we look at your level, what else you want from the holiday and your budget, then match you to the right side of the bay and the right hotel.
